In 2011 Britt graduated as a master in animation. Her graduation film is called Homemade and tells the story of Bernadette, a woman who has some very strange kitchen utilities. It depicts the relationship between men and women and shows how someone can feel very lonely even if they are surrounded by others. The sound design is by Kristof Deneijs (singer of the wonderful band Yuko). Take a look at the teaser!

 

 

During her research Britt drew a lot of kitchen-related illustrations. The technique she used for this were monoprints, which she transformed into animation in Photoshop. Also colour was added in Photoshop. After that, everything was put together in After Effects and the final editing and colour correction was done in Final Cut Pro.

 

 

 

Several characters were developed for the film. They all have their very own characteristics.
